- Confirm that your device has an active network connection.
- Try opening the affected product again after a short interval; NOAA/NWS source products can be temporarily unavailable.
- Include the product or screen you were viewing and the location you selected.
- If practical, include a screenshot of the issue.
Common questions
Why is a chart, discussion, image, observation, or alert missing?
Wx Bulletin displays data from NOAA and NWS source systems. A product may be delayed, temporarily unavailable, removed, or not issued for a particular location or time. Weather Stories are published at the discretion of individual Weather Forecast Offices and may not always be available.
Does Wx Bulletin send severe-weather notifications?
No. Wx Bulletin may display NWS alerts in the app, but it is not an alerting service and does not send iOS notifications. Alert availability and timeliness are not guaranteed. For hazardous weather, rely on official warning channels such as weather.gov, NOAA Weather Radio, and local emergency management authorities.
How does location work?
You can choose a point on the map or, if you grant permission, jump to your current location. Wx Bulletin uses that point to request relevant weather data and identify the NWS Weather Forecast Office serving it. Offline place search uses a bundled U.S. Census Gazetteer.
How do Summarize and Translate work?
On supported devices, optional AI Summarize and Translate features run entirely on device. AI-generated output may omit, simplify, or misstate important information; consult the original discussion when accuracy matters.
Safety
Wx Bulletin is an informational viewer for public weather and forecast products. It is not designed for severe-weather warning, emergency response, storm tracking, navigation, or any other life-safety or operational use.
